MISSISSAUGA - Northern Ontario's Krista Scharf defeated Alberta's Kayla Skrlik 7-4 on Saturday afternoon at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
It was the round-robin opener for both teams at the 好色tv women's curling championship.聽
Scharf stole two points in the 10th end for the win.聽
Nova Scotia's Christina Black defeated Nunavut's Julia Weagle 9-1 and Alberta's Selena Sturmay walloped Prince Edward Island's Amanda Power 12-3. Manitoba's Beth Peterson posted a 7-5 win over Mackenzie Mitchell of Newfoundland and Labrador in the other game.聽
Another draw is scheduled for the evening at Paramount Fine Foods Centre.聽
