South Sudan's peace guarantors warn against renewed violence

JUBA, South Sudan (AP) — The United States on Thursday warned it could cut foreign aid to South Sudan, accusing the government of imposing exorbitant fees on humanitarian groups and obstructing their operations.

In a strongly worded statement, released by the State Department’s Bureau for African Affairs, the U.S. said these actions were “violations of South Sudan’s international obligations†and threatened to review foreign assistance to South Sudan and potentially make “significant reductions.â€
