The Senators announced captain Brady Tkachuk underwent surgery on his right thumb and recovery is expected to take six to eight weeks. Ottawa is also dealing with the loss of defenceman Donovan Sebrango, who was picked up off waivers by the Florida Panthers Wednesday.

Senators: Ottawa鈥檚 penalty kill was better, but gave up the go-ahead goal in the third period to finish 1-for-3.

Kraken: After being shut out in their last two games in Ottawa, the Kraken were able to get to Ullmark early and relieve some of the pressure.
