MONTREAL - Montreal police say they arrested more than a dozen demonstrators Friday evening at a downtown protest on International Workers' Day.

A spokesman says officers carried out at least 13 arrests during the May Day rally organized by a group claiming to represent a coalition of activist, labour and community groups.
