INUVIK - A man has been charged after a shooting outside an airport in the Northwest Territories that sent a woman to hospital, shut down a highway and ferry, and caused residents to lock their doors.

RCMP say a 58-year-old woman was shot at the airport in Inuvik on Saturday and is in stable condition.
