S&P/TSX composite starts the week on the rise while U.S. markets fall

TORONTO - Canada's main stock index saw broad declines Wednesday while U.S. markets were mixed as both the Bank of Canada and the U.S. Federal Reserve held borrowing costs steady.聽

The S&P/TSX composite index finished 169.92 points lower at 27,369.96.聽
