S&P/TSX composite down more than 250 points, U.S. stock markets also lower

TORONTO - Canada's main stock index fell more than 250 points in late-morning trading, weighed down by losses in the technology sector, while U.S. stock markets also moved lower.

The S&P/TSX composite index was down 276.31 points at 29,592.28.
