Premier Susan Holt cabinet's decision to renew Clark's contract comes as the province enacts sweeping reforms to the debt-saddled utility.

An order-in-council dated June 11 also says Clark's total pay will be $623,653 plus any cost-of-living increases.

New Brunswick's public salary disclosure shows she made up to $549,000 in 2025, following years of steady increases from the up to $350,000 she made as interim CEO in 2022. 

Clark's renumeration is determined by the lieutenant-governor under the province's Electricity Act, according to the order-in-council document.
