SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Supreme Court grilled attorneys representing the state on Tuesday over their claim that courts shouldn't intervene in the Republican-controlled Legislature’s decision to carve up Democratic-leaning Salt Lake County into four congressional districts.

Justices didn’t rule after oral arguments held on Tuesday, but appeared skeptical of the state’s argument that districting process couldn't be subject to a broad judicial review.
