LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A former Louisville police officer blamed for instigating a conflict that led to the fatal shooting of a Black barbecue restaurant owner during the Bronna Taylor protests has pleaded guilty to using excessive force.

Katie R. Crews, 29, pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to a misdemeanor. She was excessive force charge that carried a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
