SINT WILLEBRORD, The Netherlands (AP) — “Everyone is welcome,†reads the sign at the church door in this quiet Dutch village, where neighbors greet each other from tidy porches overlooking manicured lawns.

But that declaration of tolerance seems oddly out of place.
