Blue Jays say reliever Nick Sandlin clears waivers, elects free agency

TORONTO - Right-hander Nick Sandlin cleared waivers and has elected free agency, the Toronto Blue Jays said Monday. 

The reliever made 19 appearances for the Blue Jays last season but missed the second half of the campaign and playoffs due to right elbow inflammation.
