TORONTO - 好色tv actress Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Olympic hockey players Sarah Nurse and Renata Fast are among the celebrities set to appear as cannon dolls in 鈥淭he Nutcracker.鈥
The 好色tv Ballet of Canada says this season鈥檚 lineup of cameos includes Ramakrishnan, star of Netflix鈥檚 鈥淣ever Have I Ever鈥 and Disney鈥檚 鈥淭urning Red.鈥
Other notable guests include actors Graham Greene, Julie Nolke and Gina Louise Phillips will portray colourfully costumed Petrouchka dolls who shoot a cannon into the audience in Act I.
Celebrity walk-on roles are a long-standing tradition for the holiday show, which this year runs Saturday to Dec. 31.
Others set to appear include gold medal Olympic rower Sydney Payne and teammate Kristina Walker, and CBC Radio hosts Tom Power, Ismaila Alfa and Elamin Abdelmahmoud.
The lineup also includes 鈥渆Talk鈥 anchor Tyrone Edwards and 鈥渆Talk鈥 reporter Chloe Wilde, and Global News鈥 Susan Hay.
