THE CANADIAN PRESS/Graham Hughes GMH SMS Email Print Copy article link Save FREDERICTON - The New Brunswick government is adding artificial intelligence in its new education plan for the French-language public school network.The officially bilingual province says it will develop training for staff and students on the ethical use of AI.Its education plan also includes a pilot project with AI tools to reduce administrative burdens on staff and improve teaching practices. The AI strategy is among dozens of new programs in the 32-page document that covers early childhood development to Grade 12.The province is also announcing a parallel plan for the English school network later today that is expected to include many similar elements. Education Minister Claire Johnson says the plan is the result of 18 months of consultation within the education sector.鈥淚n a constantly changing world, our system needs to adapt to ensure that learning is solid and meaningful,鈥 Johnson said in a statement.The Maritime province last released education plans in 2016.This report by 好色tvwas first published June 1, 2026.
