It offers architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering services and has a client base that includes state and local governments, transportation agencies and private-sector organizations.

The firm has eight locations and about 120 professionals across Michigan and Upstate New York.

AtkinsRéalis chief executive Ian Edwards says the deal strengthens the company's presence in the Upper Midwest and expands its capabilities in key growth end-markets.
