PORT ALBERNI - Police on Vancouver Island say a man has been sentenced to 22 years behind bars after being convicted of multiple sex offences.

Port Alberni RCMP say Shaun Pater was sentenced last week for sexual interference against a person under 14, two counts of sexual interference against persons under 16 and one count of sexual assault.
