OTTAWA - The Liberals are facing mounting calls to appoint a senior diplomat to advocate for LGBTQ people abroad, including from within their cabinet.

"Do we need an envoy? Do we want an envoy? Absolutely," said Randy Boissonnault, the associate finance minister.
