LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - A candidate for the United Conservative Party in southern Alberta has resigned after claiming in a video that children are being exposed to pornography in schools, but some say the provincial government should also condemn those comments.

Torry Tanner, who was hoping to represent Lethbridge West, said in a statement released Thursday by the UCP that she made the video during the nomination process and it spoke to her commitment to protecting children.
