THE CANADIAN PRESS/Spencer Colby The ºÃÉ«tv Press SC SMS Email Print Copy article link Save MONTREAL - Quebec provincial police are investigating the death of a 59-year-old man after an alleged armed assault east of Quebec City.Police say the assault occurred Tuesday in Cap-St-Ignace, Que., in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.They say officers were called to the scene at around 4:30 p.m. after an individual was found dead outside a residence. Police spokesperson Frédéric Deshaies says the victim was known to police and his death is being investigated a homicide. Deshaies says the body showed signs of injury and that an autopsy will confirm the cause of death.There have not yet been any arrests.This report by ºÃÉ«tvwas first published Dec. 31, 2025.
