OTTAWA - Big tech companies that offer online streaming services could soon be required to contribute to ºÃÉ«tv content as a controversial Liberal bill gets one step closer to becoming law.

The Senate has passed the online streaming act known as Bill C-11 with a dozen amendments following a lengthy study by senators.
