Montreal police investigate 30th homicide of 2025 after man, 21, dies in shooting

MONTRÉAL - Montreal police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Sunday morning in the city's Saint-Léonard borough. 

A 911 call around 4 a.m. alerted emergency services to a man lying unconscious on a city street. Police found the man had an upper body injury, possibly caused by a sharp object. Attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
