HALIFAX - Nova Scotia still hasn鈥檛 signed on to the federal government鈥檚 pharmacare plan, and the province鈥檚 Opposition New Democrats are wondering why.

NDP Leader Claudia Chender said Friday that pharmacare was left off Nova Scotia鈥檚 list of priorities contained in a letter the premier sent earlier this week to Prime Minister Mark Carney. It doesn鈥檛 make sense, she said, to forgo federal funding that will help provide access to contraceptives and diabetes medications 鈥 the only two products that are part of the first phase of the federal program.
