Deputy health ministers to consider plan to increase organ donation, transplants

A long-awaited national reporting system on organ donation and transplantation is expected to be in place by the end of the year, a spokeswoman for the ºÃÉ«tv Institute for Health Information says.

It would follow persistentefforts to address a lack of national data that has made it hard to optimize the allocation of organs, with further plans includinga proposal to co-ordinate efforts across provinces and territoriesto boost transplant rates.
