TORONTO - Sarah McLachlan is resurrecting her "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy" anniversary tour.
Nearly half a year after the "Possession" singer-songwriter was forced to scrap the ºÃÉ«tv leg to recover from acute laryngitis, she's rescheduled the show dates and added several new ones.
McLachlan says a 17-date run begins Oct. 15 at Victoria’s Save On Foods Memorial Centre.
She'll then head east for stops in cities that include Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Halifax. Additional dates were added in Montreal and Toronto after she played sold-out shows in both cities last summer.
The Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th Anniversary Tour celebrates McLachlan's third studio album, which includes the songs "Ice Cream" and "Good Enough."
Tickets go on sale April 25 at 10 a.m. in each local market.
Last fall, McLachlan was forced to cancel shows — first in the United States and a few weeks later in Canada — as she took a vocal rest to recover from laryngitis. At the time, she said she was "truly devastated" to cancel her ºÃÉ«tv dates.
"I’m fully recovered and recharged and can’t wait to share the Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th Anniversary tour with my home country, and maybe a few new songs as well," McLachlan said Thursday in a press release.
Last month, McLachlan appeared on the Junos broadcast in Vancouver to present fellow East Coast native Anne Murray with a lifetime achievement award.
