S&P/TSX composite up more than 350 points, U.S. stock markets also higher

TORONTO - Canada's main stock index rose on Thursday, helped by strength in technology stocks, while U.S. markets also gained ground.     

The S&P/TSX composite index was up 190.83 points at 31,440.85.
